Dinner
The Greatest Gift Of All - It's not the flowers, wrapped in fancy paper It's not the ring, I wear around my finger There's nothing in all the world I need When I have you here beside me, here beside me... So you could give me wings to fly And catch me if I fall Or pull the stars down from the sky So I could wish on them all But I couldn't ask for more 'Cause your love is the greatest gift of all
This process is by far the most time consuming and tiring of all processes. One might think what’s the big deal, just go to the studio and snap, snap, snap… done. If only it was that simple.
First of all, you got to “shop” for the Bridal House (Which there are tons of them around), which meets your needs to your budget. This won’t be a problem if you are loaded…For us average Joe’s, what a stress… (We’ve been told people started with a budget of RM 3000 to RM4000 but end up paying RM 6000 to RM 10000 caused they want every single pictures). So you need to know what you want and where to draw the line.
Next, to choose the dresses for the photo shoots, wedding and dinner. NEVER go just the two of you. Bad idea, bring some close friends of the bride. You won’t regret it!
Done? You wish. Few days/weeks later the couple is at the mercy of the photographer!!! “Smile” “Turn Here” “Not Like That” “Hold”…. The agony…….
Finally, the photos are ready for viewing.
Shop Lady “ Ok, chose 45/50 pics you like best from these 150 to 200 pics, take your time….”.
After 5 hours: Bride to shop lady “ If want add, how much…?”
Groom sweating and making ‘gold-fish’ eyes at bride…
Shop Lady “ Around RM 90/100 per pics ++ lor, like that”
Groom pengsan…
Few days/weeks later, shop lady will call and asked you to view their design for the album before sending it for printing. Another headache if you don’t like the design…
Our registration was done at the Thean Hou temple, KL. The procedure is easy if you know it before hand and prepare for it. Here’s good guide that we found useful.
